The BEST Drop Sugar cookies are always made by Grandma first. Some of my best childhood memories are grandma making these thick, soft, yet tender crisp on the bottom – sugar cookies. I have tried recipe after recipe and always come back to this one for ease and taste.
Drop Sugar Cookies – 2 eggs, 2/3 c. sugar, 2/3 c. oil, 2 tsp. real vanilla, Stir with a fork till thick and fluffy. Add: 2 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking pwd, 1/2 tsp. salt. Stir well and drop on a greased cookie sheet – 1/4 c. dough for large cookies – Bake 350 for 13 – 15 – cool on rack – Frost and Decorate with candy sprinkles for holidays – picture shown is for Valentines Day Cookies
ButterCream Whipped Frosting – 1/2 c. softened real butter, 2 c. powdered sugar, 1 – 1/2 tsp. real vanilla, dash of salt, 1 – 2 Tbsp. hot milk – Beat butter till fluffy, add other ingredients, beating till whipped and fluffy. My grandmas favorite way to make this frosting was to add orange or lemon peel to taste and then frost. (For chocolate butter cream icing add 1/3 c. lightly packed cocoa – excellent on brownies)

1 – Pkg. store bought shortbread cookies
6 Tbsp. butter
½ c. sugar
½ c. light Karo syrup
½ c. Sweetened Condensed milk
½ tsp. vanilla
1c. toasted coconut
1c. swirl vanilla chocolate chips Directions: place cookies on a buttered cookie sheet, In a sauce pan Combine butter, sugar, and syrup, bring to a boil, turn down to medium low, cook for 3 min. Add sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly. Cook till candy thermometer reaches 200 degrees. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and coconut. Cool till thick enough to Frost tops with a generous portion of filling. Melt chocolate in microwave in glass bowl for 1 minute. Stir till melted. Frost cookies – Place in fridge to let chocolate harden and enjoy!
preheat oven to 375 degrees
1 cup use real butter
1/3 cup cooking oil
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
cream for 10 minutes (time it, this makes an extra good cookie)
mix dry ingredients together
3 cups of flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
blend all together until dough starts to pull from the sides of the bowl(add more flour if needed)
stir in 1 pkg. Nestles or Hersheys choc chips
form heaping tsp size balls on ungreased cookie sheets
bake 375 degrees for 10 minutes
do not overbake -let sit on pan for at least 2 min. before placing on wire rack

Mix: 1/3 c. real butter softened, 1/3 c. oil, 1-1/2 c. brown sugar, 1 Tbsp. Water, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 eggs, Mix with a fork till blended.
Combine: 1-3/4 c. flour, 1/3 c. cocoa, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 1/4 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, stir into butter mixture.
Stir in: 3/4 c. chopped toasted almonds, 2 c. chopped Hershey’s kisses or Hugs or your favorite add in
Bake in preheated oven at 350 – drop by rounded Tbsp. fulls on ungreased cookie sheet, Bake 10 – 11 min. – leave on cookie sheet two minutes after removing from oven, then place on cooling rack – a flatter chewy delicious cookie

1/2 c. oil, 1/2 c. use real butter, 1 c. brown sugar, 3/4 c. white sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. Peanut butter crunchy or smooth, Cream together till fluffy
Add: 2 c. flour combined with 2 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. salt
stir in 1 c. quick oatmeal, and, 2 c. chopped miniature Peanut butter cups candy Place golf ball size drops on un-greased cookie sheet and bake 350 for 12 – 15 min.
Tender, Crisp, melt in your mouth cookies
